Excerpts
Trust the people you hire to take the initiative to do what they think is right for the business. Of course, you need to know what’s going on and need to have open lines of communication so there are no, or at least few, surprises. For bigger projects, have regular check-ins so you can advise, support, or course correct as needed. And although success is the goal, be sure to use failure in as positive a way as possible. Work with your employees to understand what went right and wrong with any project. Be transparent in all your communications. This will ensure that best practices are built on and things that don’t go well are not repeated.
Always have your resumé and LinkedIn profile up to date and be active with your network. You never know when market conditions can change, or you might attract recruiters for even better opportunities than your current job can offer you.
And always trust that things will work out for you! They work out, not because others come to your rescue and do it for you, but because the TRUST Success Model works, and you will make it happen for yourself!
